Why A Facebook Page Is Not Enough For A Business.

Facebook unlike

Facebook is no doubt, the most popular social networking website today with billions of users. That’s why many businesses target that valuable customer base and set-up a free Facebook page to gather “likes” and “shares”. But why a Facebook page is not enough for a business?

Your Business Doesn’t Own Facebook

Facebook is owned by Mark Zuckerberg, who is is an American computer programmer, Internet entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Yes, we all use it for free but still, we can’t control what he allows and not allow in his website. Facebook also has a habit of changing things around all the time. Not just its website design, but also the rules on how you can promote your business via Facebook pages. Facebook, like Google, is now altering their  websites to ensure its users get the best and most relevant content. It makes sense.

Don’t fall into the trap of allowing another company to dictate how you do business.

Own Your Piece of the Net

Your best bet is to buy a domain and get your own web hosting so you can set up your primary online presence. By doing this you can also have your own professional email address i.e. you@yourdomain.com

Your website is all about YOU and YOUR BRAND. When people are on your website that’s all they see. Also, not everyone uses Facebook and not everyone wants to do business on Facebook or learn about a business on Facebook. Your website is focused on your calls to action, Facebook isn’t.
