Why logos are Important to businesses? A professional logo design for businesses today is under rated. Most people do not understand how important a good logo is and how important it is to their business. Most businessmen who inquired about my graphic services, are not willing to invest more than a thousand pesos for their logo. Why is this so? Logos most of the time, are just simple images. Because of this a lot of people think that graphic artists or designers doesn’t take long to create such drawings. Which leads most people to think why logo design is so expensive or more specifically why professional logos are expensive?
I Could Have Done That In Five Minutes
True. But can you think about a concept in five minutes? I don’t think so. There are a lot of steps to be followed in visualizing business or personal logos. This can actually take days to say the least. Most descent designers need to get to know your business well in order for them to create the close to perfect logo for you. In my end, I usually ask the client to answer several questions such as, what kind of business he’s in, what he considers a good logo, what colors and many more. These questions lead me to visualize the symbols or elements that best represent a client’s business.
You Get What You Pay For
A lot of us know this saying. It applies to most things and logo design is not an exemption. Yes, it’s true that, there are a lot of affordable logo designs around. But doesn’t your business deserve the best or at least the best that you can afford? These affordable designers may produce a logo that looks okay, but doesn’t really fit the way you want to represent your business. You see with these inconsistencies, you might drive your potential customers away. 
Not All Designers Work The Same Way
I have been in design for 20 years and have heard a lot of horror stories from clients who went ahead and hired affordable designers and felt they got cheated. They all ended up spending more money. These affordable designers charge a very low fee because they don’t realize the amount of work that needed to be done. This is why most of them disappear when reality steps in and they just can’t bear it. On the other hand, experienced professionals work differently. They are aware of the possible hits and misses that is involved in the task. This is another reason why professional logos are expensive. They work differently. They know the direction or flow of the project. So be very careful in choosing the right designer for your projects.
Must We Avoid Designers That Charge Low?
Not really. In fact, there are a lot of talented Filipino logo designers around who deserves payment higher than what they ask. But I would strongly recommend anyone who is looking for a designer, be it a graphic designer or a web designer, to weigh very heavily the benefits of hiring a professional. There are many designers out there who are better than professional ones, and there are also designers who are much worse than new comers. It is important that you find someone that you can connect with and develop a good working relationship. Don’t rush, and don’t be too busy to sit down and talk with your potential designer.
